"We are lifelong learners that began tutoring in Berkshire whilst studying for our Bachelors of Science degrees. Having taught ourselves how to learn effectively we became passionate about the idea of approaching education in a more engaging way.
Word spread and as demand grew for quality tutors the team decided to expand, bringing on new, qualified tutors and teachers whilst partnering with local schools to provide great educational facilities.
We’ve had thousands of students go through our tutoring over the last decade and it's rewarding to see the impact we can have."

See our journey below.
Talent is hard to find. We started as an agency, sourcing quality tutors and pairing them to students across Berkshire.
A big year for us! We launched our first tuition centre. We had an influx of students and began bringing on new talent to support.
Local schools needed more after school support and we began partnering programmes which supported over 1,000 students to date.
Now in multiple locations in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Greater London we're expanding our services, our locations and we're excited to see how much more we can do.
‘Who dares to teach must never cease to learn’

Our approach to learning is based on three principles: Adapt, Instill and Expand.
We assess each learner to establish their current academic level, in order to, adapt to their needs and support them in the best way possible.
We create learning environments which promote a culture of participation, instilling confidence and increasing classroom engagement.
Understanding that consistency is the key to learning, there is weekly or daily support available for each learner - working closely with you to reach your goals.
We only employ the best talent, with our tutor team continuously growing we look for personable tutors that can deliver in a range of formats. We operate a diverse team and if you have a preference for a male or female tutor we can also accomodate.

It’s great when students leave happy. It means they have taken something away with them.

We always ensure we have the right balance between practice and teaching.

It’s good to know that ten years later we are still relevant and still producing good quality teaching materials.
Maths
Ensuring we are systematic in how we deliver our lessons, allows students to fill in any gaps in their understanding.
Chemistry and Biology
Being at university and teaching at Ad Astra means I can relate to the students whilst working with them.
11+ Co-ordinator
We try to keep things simple. Consistency and good organisation allows us to get excellent results, year on year.
Maths and Physics
Small class sizes and focused resources have been pushing our GCSE students to achieve great grades.
English literature and Language
I thoroughly enjoy studying poetry with our students. Breaking down what is being said allows for greater understanding when analysing.
Early Years
Helping younger students grasp concepts and watching them develop is so satisfying. Ad Astra provides such as positive environment.
Primary School Teacher
Helping students with foundational methods and their basic understanding will stay with them forever. I love that about teaching.
